Got the kids all dressed and ready to go, some already on the bus, then the text comes at 6:05am- No School Today!  That’s what happened this morning in Cumberland County and some parents are upset over the late call.  And even more parents are wondering why school was cancelled in the first place.  A glance at the Cumberland County School Facebook page shows many parents commenting that they had already gotten their kids up and heading out the door when the text came saying schools were closed.  A few had already put their child on the bus.  In past years, there was a policy in place that the decision to cancel schools would be made by 5am at the latest.  The weather forecast for this morning was much colder temps and a possible dusting of snow.  Some parents feel that there wasn’t enough snow on the roads to constitute a cancellation.  Of course the School Policy is always put the safety of the students first but some parents are asking that the notice for school closings be dispatched much earlier than 6am.
