PARENT CHILD CONNECTION SERIES IN CROSSVILLE BEGINS JANUARY 2ND, 2025

The Parent-Child Connection is a free class series that aims to support parents by providing support for any specific issues or challenges they may face in the course of raising their children.
The purpose of the class is not only to educate, but also to offer parents the opportunity to give and get support from others who may be facing similar problems, situations, or circumstances.
The new series begins Thursday Jan. 2, at 129 Birchwood Lane, Crossville.
The curriculum used is “Nurturing Parenting Skills for Families” and is an evidence-based curriculum approved by Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.
The spring classes will be from 1-2:30 p.m. each Thursday.
They include:
Jan. 2 — Orientation, Assessing Nurturing Skills
Jan. 9 — Children Brain Development
Jan. 16 — Empathy
Jan. 23 — Praising
Jan. 30 — Self-Worth
Feb. 6 — Family Morals and Values
Feb. 13 — Using Rewards and Punishment
Feb. 20 — Personal Power
Feb. 27 — Makeup Session
Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within the series.
