PANTHERS AND JETS ROCK ON TO THE STATE PLAYOFFS

A very exciting time for high school football fans as both Cumberland County teams are Playoff bound.  After closing out regular season play last night with a win over East Hamilton 14 to 7, The Stone Memorial High Panthers posted an undefeated season with 10-0 and claimed the Region 3 Class 4a Championship Title with a 6 and 0 record.  Now The Panthers advance to the State Playoffs and will host Giles County in the opening round game Friday night, November 6th.  Meanwhile, The Cumberland County High School Jets are also heading to the State Playoffs.  The Jets end the regular season with a 5 and 5 record claiming 4th place in the Region with a 3 and 3 record after beating Chattanooga Central 20 to 14. The Jets will travel to Marshall County Friday, November 6th, for the opening round match-up with the Tigers.
