ONE OF CROSSVILLE’S FAVORITE EATERIES, FORTES IS CLOSING DOWN

A longtime Crossville restaurant, Fortes on the Square has announced they are closing.  In a Facebook post today:

“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to close the restaurant.
This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one for where things are right now.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supported us—our customers, staff, and community. You all made this experience meaningful, and I appreciate every bit of it.
Thank you for being part of the journey.”
Jason Knight purchased Fortes from the original Fortes family in late 2024

However, Ronnie Webb, who owns the building also posted this morning:
“As the Owner of the building, I’m happy to announce the Fortes are planning to come back. They have to get all the necessary Inspections, Permits, etc. They will appreciate your patience, and your support!”
Fortes has been a staple of fine dining in Crossville for many years on Fourth street.
