ONE DEAD IN ROANE COUNTY HOUSE FIRE THIS MORNING
The Roane County Sheriff’s Office said one body was found after a house fire was put out Monday morning.
The call for a fire at 116 Mainsail Road started around 2:30 a.m., according to Roane County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tim Hawn.
Officials, including investigators with the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office, is investigating.
As of 2 p.m. Monday, multiple agencies were still at the home, waiting for the remains of the house to cool down so an investigation can continue.
The person inside has not been identified. It is also not clear if the fire was accidental or set on purpose.
