NATIONWIDE WALGREENS SYSTEM FAILURE LEAVES WALGREENS OVER 700 DEEP IN UNFILLED PRESCRIPTIONS
Hundreds of people are without their prescriptions tonight due to a nationwide system failure at Walgreens. Upon a visit to the Crossville Walgreens CNF learned that as many as seven hundred prescriptions remain unfilled. Some people who have prescriptions ready cannot pick them up because the system will not allow the sale to finalize and scan out the medication. Walgreens has brought in extra team members to rectify the situation however when asked, Walgreens could not say when the problem would be rectified or exactly what caused the failure. It is suggested that you call before you attempt to pick up your prescription.
In the meantime the drive through has been closed and individuals who would like to transfer their prescriptions to another pharmacy may do so by having that pharmacy call and request the individual profile.

Your system has failed miserably. I have used your system to try and refill my script since Friday and for some reason it keeps getting canceled. When I called I didn’t even get the store that I use I got some switchboard operator. So now I’m trying again before they close at 6:00 to get my script filled which should have been done yesterday this is a huge failure on Walgreens part to change their system over they should have kept it the same and when a person calls they should get the store that they usually deal with not someone in another state
