The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF1 tornado hit White County during the outbreak of storms Monday.   This is the same series of storms that moved into Cumberland county and toppled trees and knocked out power.  In addition to the wind damage, one home in Cumberland county was struck by lightning and caught fire.  Transformers were hit throughout the city of Crossville sparking fires that were quickly extinguished by fire fighters.
