NASHVILLE POLICE CHASE A STOLEN CRAB ORCHARD UTILITY TRUCK NO ONE KNEW HAD BEEN STOLEN

Reportedly Nashville police notified Crossville law enforcement Wednesday night that Nashville police were in pursuit of a Dodge truck which came back registered to the Crab Orchard Utility District. Crossville authorities notified the Utility which said all trucks were accounted for.  However, one truck was discovered missing from inside the repair shop along with over $10,000 in tools.  Video surveillance from the Utility showed a white male wearing jeans, long sleeve shirt, white hat and tennis shoes came into the shop and, in just a few minutes, was driving the truck out of the shop’s front door.  All doors to the shop were still locked when the investigation began.  The suspect then stopped and closed the front door.  Nashville police did notify Crossville that they had stopped their pursuit of the truck and no one was apprehended.  Total loss in theft, approximately $65,000.
