MURDER CONVICT GETS KILLED IN FIGHT AT MORGAN COUNTY PRISON

tattooeddieA man serving a life sentence for a grisly 1986 double murder in Sevier County was killed at the Morgan County Correctional Complex after a fight between two inmates.

Edward “Tattoo Eddie” Harris was pronounced dead at a hospital around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Tennessee Department of Correction.

The TDOC will ask the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to assist with the investigation.

Harris was convicted in the deaths of two employees of the Rocky Top Village Inn in Gatlinburg in 1986.
