MULTIPLE ROBBERIES, SHOOTINGS IN NASHVILLE THIS MORNING ALL RELATED

Metro police said several robberies and a shooting in north Nashville along with a carjacking outside Vanderbilt University Medical Center early Friday morning are all related

Police have found a burned out car at 3187 Lagrange Drive that they believe was involved in the incidents.

Three people were shot in an attempted robbery outside Jazzy Sensations nightclub on Hampton Street. Those victims were driven to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Police said the suspect showed up at Vanderbilt shortly after three shooting victims arrived there. Police said the subject carjacked a white Chevy pickup truck and the Chevy has been involved in several robbery attempts.

The victims were shot in the parking lot of Jazzy Sensations, 1520 Hampton St., after witnesses said two men approached a carload of people and tried to rob it.

Police said the victims have non life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses said that one of the robbers pulled a gun and opened fire after the driver said he had no money.

The driver of the car left the scene after being shot.

Witnesses said the shooter was a black male in his mid-20s with dreadlocks. He was wearing a black T-shirt with red and black letters and dark jeans. They said the robbers left the scene in a white Dodge Magnum.

Police believe the suspects in the shooting were also involved in robberies at the Pizza Hut and Dollar General Store at 3713 Clarksville Pike, Mid-South Produce at 1215 Baptist World Center Drive and at the Haynes Garden Apartments at 2715 Whites Creek Pike.
