Lavergne Tennessee is southeast of Nashville in Rutherford County.

LA Vergne, Tenn.–La Vergne Police are searching for 36-year-old John E. Lamb III after he was allegedly caught by a family member raping a child.

According to police, the family member called 911 and Lamb fled the scene. Police conducted an extensive search and were unable to locate Lamb. He has a criminal history that also includes assault, terroristic threats and escape.

Lamb is described as a white male, balding with closely shaven sides and rear of the head, approximately 6’2, 208lbs, & was described as last wearing a white tank top shirt, black and gray sweater, blue jeans covered with white paint, timberland boots (yellow w/ white soles), and a dark blue baseball cap.

Lamb threatened the lives of the victim and the victim’s family as well as police.
