MAN THREATENS TO SET HIMSELF ON FIRE, K-9 SENT IN TO APPREHEND

Area media reports a man attempted to set himself on fire in Crossville Sunday.  Police were called to a residence on Myrtle Lane where a man, later identified as Jeffrey Warner, was outside after an apparent domestic dispute. When police got there Warner ran into the house and locked the door, telling the officers he was not coming out.  Warner then proceeded to pour gasoline on himself and fire up a lighter – holding some kind of spray can in his other hand.  Police sent in Arlo the K-9 unit and apprehended the subject. Warner was taken to the hospital and treated for a dog bite then to the Justice center and charged with domestic assault, evading arrest, resisting arrest and a host of other charges.
