PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. — Arrests are made after a domestic shooting in Putnam County leaves one dead.

The shooting happened on Glade Creek Road on Sunday. The Putnam County Sheriff”s Office said Tony Thompson, Jr., shot his brother Billy Thompson following a physical altercation.

Billy died at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, said the PCSO.

Tony, who left the scene before deputies arrived, has since been arrested and is charged with second degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office.

Their mother, Amanda Thompson, is jailed on charges of fabricating/tampering with evidence after reportedly giving a false report of the incident to the sheriff’s office

Amanda is jailed on a $20,000 bond and Tony on a bond of $1 million. They are due in court on August 26.
