John Green is pretty upset that Japanese Beetles ate through the wood on a power pole causing it to fall over, hit his truck and forcing him off the road.  That’s what Green told officers caused him to wreck.  The whole incident took place on Pomona Road Saturday according to reports.  Deputies were called out to the wreck and found alcohol and two assault rifles in Green’s truck, one of them loaded.  Green was charged with DUI and unlawful possession of a firearm.  The report did not indicate if any Japanese Beetles were spotted near the accident scene.
