MAN CHARGED WITH KILLING AL STURGILL ON MAIN STREET HAS BONDED OUT

Eric Garrison, the man charged with shooting to death Al Sturgill on Main Street Downtown Crossville August 22nd has bonded out of jail. Garrison’s original bond was set at $2million but was reduced by a judge in Garrison’s first court appearance to $100,000.  Typically that means the accused can pay $10,000, or ten percent, to a bonding company to satisfy the bond. District Attorney Bryant Dunaway told CNF that he had rather the bond not be reduced by that much. The judge who ruled on the matter was Judge James White, Clay County General Sessions Judge.

Cumberland County Judge Amanda Worley recused herself from the case due to a previous encounter between her and Garrison.  Garrison’s case has been bound over to the grand jury in the coming weeks.
