The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who is wanted in connection with a burglary on Smith Mountain Rd. Aug. 18. As you can see from the surveillance video, this is no ordinary burglar.  The suspect appears in a camouflage outfit and seems to be aiming an assault rifle.  Four sets of wheels and tires were stolen at a loss of $1,600. According to reports,  the suspect is armed and should be considered dangerous. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Sheriff’s Investigator David Gibson at 484-7176 or 261-7804.
