MAN ACCUSED OF TERRORIZING SCHOOL CHILDREN, ARRESTED

REPORT: Crossville Police have arrested a man for allegedly chasing after school children who were trying to board a school bus on Malver Drive.  The suspect, 48-year-old Kelly Bilbrey, was reported to be chasing and yelling at the children as a mother was dropping her child off to get on a bus. Four children came running toward the mother screaming as Bilbrey was chasing them.  According to the report, Bilbrey slammed his hand onto the woman’s car window and continued yelling. The woman drove off and called police.  When police went to Bilbrey’s home, he locked himself in a bedroom. Officers finally talked him out of the room but he was still very aggressive toward them as they handcuffed him.  Assault by intimidation, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest were just some of the charges filed against Bilbrey.  There was no mention in the report what motivated Bilbrey to be hostile toward the children.
