LOCK UP YOUR CARS YOUR CAR MAY BE TARGETED FOR THEFT AT A LOCAL DOLLAR GENERAL

 On 4-20-2025 city units were dispatched to Dollar General (4518 US127, Crossville TN 38571) in reference to a burglary report. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the victim who stated that he parked his vehicle in front of the store and entered the store at approximately 1812 hours. The victim stated his phone was in the cup holder and that his mother’s phone was in the center console of the vehicle along with 3 full packs of USA Gold 100s cigarettes. Mr. Stanley stated he then came back out to his car at approximately 1820 hours when he discovered that the items described were missing. The officer went inside and spoke with the manager working and she showed the officer video footage.

The only camera the store had that caught the event was the front entrance camera. The vehicle was blocked by the main entrance door frame, but you could still see most of the vehicle in the camera view.  The video showed a black vehicle pull into a parking spot on the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle at approximately 1813 hours. The officer observed a subject get out of the vehicle, bend down numerous times and then get back into the black vehicle then drive away at approximately 1815 hours. None of the items have been located and there are no known suspects at this timeThere was no further description in the police report of the vehicle or person observed leaning down.
