LOCAL RADIO STATIONS GONE HAYWIRE, HERE’S WHY

A lot of folks have been asking what has happened to a group of local radio stations in the past couple of days. PEG Broadcasting which owns 102.5 WOW Country, Mix 99.3, WAEW Talk Radio and Sports Radio WCSV has been either broadcasting the wrong type of programming for each particular station or not at all.  Turns out the radio station studios on Miller Avenue that houses all the different stations took a direct lightning hit from Tuesday mornings severe storms which passed through Cumberland County.  We spoke to PEG today and they explained they have been working night and day since Tuesday to restore the stations back to normal.  Much of the radio station’s studio equipment including computers (which is the heart of modern-day radio stations) were taken out by a lightning strike at the studios.  PEG Broadcasting posted the following on their Facebook page:

Peg Broadcasting in Crossville is experiencing technical difficulties. Tuesday morning we took a direct lighting strike. We apologize for any inconvenience. We are working to resolve the problems as quickly as possible so you can enjoy your favorite programming. We also want to thank all of you for checking in on us. We’re okay and we hope to be back to normal programming soon.
