At least one local night spot is taking measures to help reduce potentially impaired drivers on the road.  Mega-Bites Karaoke Lounge on Peavine Road is offering free stuff to designated drivers.  Their new Designated Driver Program requires the person to be 21 year old or older with a valid drivers license and be the designated driver for at least one patron.  As incentive, the club will provide free soft drinks and a free appetizer to the designated driver in addition to a free ‘adult’ beverage on the next visit with someone else as the designated driver. The idea, of course, is to try to prevent patrons from leaving the party in an impaired condition and potentially causing harm to themselves and others on the road.
