LEGENDARY CLASSIC ROCK ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR SECRET CITY FESTIVAL

Organizers have announced that legendary music icons Three Dog Night and the Marshall Tucker Band will be performing at Oak Ridge’s 13th annual Secret City Festival, June 12-13.
Three Dog Night will bring its hit-filled show to the UCOR Concert Main Stage at A.K. Bissell Park on Saturday, June 13. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Legacy Classic Rock Band will open for Three Dog Night, three20dog20night20logo_thumb1according to the Oak Ridge Convention & Visitors Bureau news release. The Saturday Night concert is sponsored by Classic Hits 93.1 FM WNOX.
The Marshall Tucker Bandmarshalltuckerband_sp will perform on Friday, June 12, at the Main Stage in Bissell Park.
Tickets will go on sale May 1. More ticket information will be released soon, according to the release.

In the years 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits than Three Dog Night. Their hits include “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Joy to the World,” “Black and White,” “Shambala,” and “One.”
Three Dog Night had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including three No. 1 singles, 11 Top 10’s, 18 straight Top 20’s, seven million-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs. Their hits appeared on best selling charts in all genres: Pop, rock and country.
Over the years, the Marshall Tucker Band has recorded 22 studio albums, three DVDs, three live albums and many compilations. One of the major Southern rock bands of the 1970s, the MTB earned seven gold and three platinum albums with Capricorn Records. In the 1990s, they scored four hit singles on Billboards Country Chart, and one on Billboards Gospel Chart. Hit songs include “Heard It In a Love Song,” “Fire On The Mountain,” and “Can’t You See.”
