No it’s not an earth shaking news flash. But given we all might need a little break in the stress of Ice Storm 2015, I thought we’d join in the internet frenzy of millions trying to determine the color of ‘the’ dress.  This dress is causing quite a stir on social media. A woman uploaded a photo of a dress to Tumblr and ignited a war.  She simply asked followers what color the dress was and then it started. Thousands of people think that this is a photo of a gold and white dress. Thousands see a blue and black dress. Hundreds of web sites have actually set up polls to see which color combination wins. My first thought was that the dress is neither – it’s apparent to me the dress is blue and gold or brown.  I don’t see how anyone is seeing white on the dress anywhere – nor black for that matter.  Now it is possible for this dress to be white and reflecting blue lighting or the camera is set for indoor lighting and the natural outdoor light is making it look blue.  But that doesn’t matter, the burning question is what color is the dress as shown in the photograph.  I say blue and gold/brown.   So you be the judge.  What color is the dress.  Does it matter?  Is it going to get electricity back on at your house?  Well no, but it might help take your mind off your troubles for two minutes.
