Two wrecks on I-40 today brought travelers to a halt for quite awhile.  The first wreck involving multiple vehicles happened between mile marker 287 and 288 Westbound in Cookeville around 11:40 this morning.   The other accident also involved multiple vehicles reported on I-40 Eastbound shortly afternoon at the 316 mile marker just before the Crossville 127 exit. Heavy downpours and limited visibility most likely contributed to the wrecks.  THP has not released the report at this time with names or injuries.
