A guilty plea has been entered in the 2015 murder of 33-year-old Tara Burnett of Crossville. Matthew Bruce Howard pleaded guilty to second degree murder in a plea bargain deal. When deputies arrived at the Kindsdown Rd residence in Fairfield Glade February 2015, Howard told them he had shot his girl-friend. Howard’s plea bargain would give him a sentence of 15-25 years in prison for the murder. Sentencing is scheduled for March 7th.
