The Cumberland County Board of Education along with the Director of Schools have been named in a lawsuit filed by four parents. The suit claims the school system’s procedure on wearing masks at school violates the law and caused their children to be suspended indefinitely from school for not wearing a mask nor opting for virtual learning. There is no BOE policy for suspending students who do not comply – but there is a ‘school procedure’ for the mandate prepared by the DOS.   Here is the administrative procedure from the BOE web page:
