A home invasion went very wrong in Roane County this morning…at least for the burglar.  Homer Fox broke into the home of a Harriman couple while the wife slept in an upstairs bedroom.  Around 3 o’clock this morning the wife heard a noise downstairs, grabbed a gun and locked the bedroom door.  She then called her husband who was not at home at the time. The husband rushed home, also with a gun in hand, and confronted the suspect at the stairs leading up to the second floor.  Both the husband and wife held the burglar at gunpoint until deputies arrived.  According the report, Fox had already broken into the wife’s car outside.  Fox was hauled to jail and booked.
