GRAB A CAB…WITH NO DRIVER – COMING TO NASHVILLE THIS MONTH

Waymo’s self-driving vehicles are expected to begin operating autonomously in Nashville later this month, according to Metro Police.

Leadership recently received an up-close orientation on the vehicles, which have been testing in Music City since last year. Previously, these tests included a backup driver

The autonomous Waymo cars will soon be available for rideshare customers on select routes in certain parts of Nashville.

This comes after The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration launched a federal probe into Waymo’s driverless cars failing to obey School Bus rules. There have been 20 citations in Austin, Texas as of December.
