GO AHEAD, CLICK IT – WE HAVE PICTURES

Congratulations!  You have just joined the ranks of most everyone who is getting about tired of the winter mess we’ve been getting lately.  The good news:  It’s just about all over.  With today’s mix of sleet and snow that has wreaked havoc on the highways and byways, we’re seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and it isn’t a train – we hope. IMG_20150305_101645_474 As incredible as it was to think we were going to drop from the 60 degrees yesterday down to the mid-20’s today – get ready for the climb back up.  Highs for next week are in the upper 50’s to low 60’s.  So maybe, just maybe this is the wrap up of winter’s biggest punches. The WBIR-TV News crew has been parked in the same place since 4am this morning – periodically getting out of the car to do a live report on Channel 10 about winter on the mountain.

We aren’t expecting any more precip to add on – but the temperature is going to drop into the teens tonight so there won’t be much melting of the ice.  Extreme caution should be taken if you have to drive anywhere.

Most everyone on the Cumberland Plateau is ready for some hot sunny day’s – but then, how many will scream “It’s too dang hot – can’t wait for summer to be over”?  Probably not that many.slide1
