GEORGIA SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES FUNNIES DURING WINTER WEATHER

In East Georgia, that voice was ringing from the Facebook page of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. During Winter Storm Octavia, the sheriff’s office lightened the mood with funny Facebook posts that reminded its 16,000 followers a little laughter can help get people through even the most serious of weather events.

The county, located just west of Athens, saw some frozen precipitation, but minimal impacts during Octavia. This gave the Facebook page’s author a chance to have a little fun.
