FROM 60 TO 20, “OLD MAN WINTER” IS NOT GIVING UP EASILY

precfcst_600x405It’s just not wanting to give up.  Winter is trying its best to hang on for dear life and it’s doing a pretty good job.  Just as most of us are trying to recover from last weeks ‘Big Freeze’ and some still living without electricity, another arctic blast is about to descend upon us.  But Super Spring is trying to rescue us all.  Daytime temperatures are climbing into the 50’s and maybe even hit 60 Wednesday – but look out – Wednesday night the bottom falls out.  Forecasters are predicting a low of 20 overnight into Thursday and won’t get above 30 all day.  Oh, did I mention snow?  Yep, as the temp drops..so do the snow flakes.  Possibly 3 to 6 inches say prognosticators – and about a tenth of an inch of ice build up…maybe.   It’s going to remain fairly cold after Wednesday and into the weekend – then start climbing again starting with the highs in the 50’s Monday and possibly reaching 60 by next Wednesday. More than likely this will be the last of the bitter cold blasts carrying a load of snow till next winter – but with past experiences, don’t count Winter out yet.  The “Old Man” is hanging on but Spring it fighting its way in.
