FOUR APPARENT SUICIDES INVESTIGATED WITHIN THE LAST WEEK

Crossville Authorities are investigating four unrelated apparent suicides since last Monday.  This is highly unusual for the departments to respond to that many suicides in one week.  Three of the suicides involved firearms, were local and seemed to be possibly medical related.   We don’t report names of suicide victims as general policy.  A fourth death was reported when a truck driver found a woman in her 30’s dead in a car at the Red Roof Inn Saturday. The trucker was checking out of the hotel to continue his trip when he noticed the woman in the car.  The woman is believed to be from out-of-state but has been in Crossville from time to time in the past.  Authorities found a note indicating it was very likely a suicide from drug overdose.  The car the woman was found in had been reported stolen from Indiana.  Police told CNF the body was sent off for autopsy.
