FORMER INTERIM CROSSVILLE POLICE CHIEF APPLIES FOR HARRIMAN POLICE CHIEF POSITION

Harriman Tennessee is in search of a new Police Chief since the former chief, Randy Heidle, retired back in June.  There are several applicants for the Chief’s job including former Crossville interim Police Chief Rod Shoap.  Shoap resigned from the Crossville position amid turmoil within the City Council and the Council’s hesitancy in hiring a full-time Police Chief. Mr. Shoap told CNF this morning that he loved being Crossville Police Chief and had hoped to have been hired full-time.  But since that didn’t happen, he applied for the Harriman Chief’s position since it was just down the road and has a young force that he felt could benefit from his training as did the Crossville Police Department.
