FORMER CUMBERLAND CO CORRECTIONS OFFICER CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING VICTIM WITH MS
A former Cumberland County Corrections Officer, Richard Nail, has been charged with domestic assault on a woman with Multiple Sclerosis.
According to a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office report, on June 24, 2025, Cumberland County Deputies responded to a domestic assault incident at a residence in Crossville.
The victim exhibited signs of distress, with visible bruising on her right forearm and face. She stated that Richard Nail threw her onto a couch and slapped her repeatedly during an attempt to take money and leave.
Deputy Leary observed redness on Mr. Nail’s knuckles, indicating recent physical contact. Nail was arrested for domestic assault, and taken to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for booking. The victim reportedly has Multiple Sclerosis
