Former longtime Cumberland County Educator Arlon Way has passed at 85.  Mr. Way was a teacher, Assistant Principal and was elected as Cumberland Superintendent of Schools (now called Director of Schools). He was also a lifelong minister of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Way was the husband of Jane Way who also worked in the school system for 47 years. Funeral services for Arlon Hubert Way, age 85, of Crossville, Tennessee, who passed away on June 6, 2026, will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
