On December 17, 2023 city units were dispatched to the Waffle House for a recovered gun. Upon arrival an officer spoke with the manager who stated a customer told her there was a gun in the sink of the Men’s restroom.

The manager recovered the gun and locked it in a cash register until police arrival. The gun is a Ruger LC9s with a serial number of 32738577. The officer ran the serial number through dispatch to which it came back clear and then took the lost gun and placed it into evidence at the Crossville Police Dept.
