A suspect is still at large after officers in Fentress County were involved in two separate car chases Tuesday night.

Both chases happened near Jamestown, the first around 8:40 p.m.

A sheriff’s deputy says the office had arrest warrants out for a suspect. When the suspect saw the deputies, he fled. According to the department, the suspect crashed into at least one deputy’s car and officers arrested him.

A separate chase happened just 25 minutes later. Deputies are not sure why the suspect fled, but they say the driver at one point rammed a deputy’s cruiser. He crashed and ran away into nearby woods. That man is still on the run.

Deputies say there were no injuries in either case
