FEDERAL JUDGE RULES KNOX CO SCHOOLS MUST MANDATE MASKS
GREENEVILLE, Tennessee — The Knox County Board of Education must immediately impose a mask mandate for schoolchildren, a federal judge in Greeneville ruled Friday.
Superintendent Bob Thomas confirmed it on Friday, saying that starting Sept. 27 all students, employees and visitors will be required to wear a face mask while indoors or riding a school bus. The ruling overrides the Governors’ Executive Order that parents can opt=out of any school mask mandate.
