A Crossville man lost his life in a single vehicle crash Wednesday morning. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Charles E. Brendel was travelling north on Lantana Rd. in a 1995 Chevy van, when his vehicle left the right side of the roadway, hit a culvert and flipped, partially ejecting Brendel. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
