FANS SHOCKED TO HEAR WIMZ-FM ROCK PERSONALITY BILLY KIDD HAS DIED
Sadly, CNF has learned that legendary WIMZ-FM radio personality Billy Kidd was found deceased in his Knoxville home today. It is believed he died of natural causes. Billy (Bill Winningham) was a Livingston Tennessee native and has been on the air at 103.5 WIMZ-FM for 30 years. Bill gave more of himself than he ever expected in return. He was the consummate professional in his trade. Billy Kidd was the rock that anchored WIMZ-FM and had a huge following for his afternoon radio show. He helped many local charities over the decades including Camping for Cans to gather food for Second Harvest Food bank. He had passion and a great love for his family, friends and radio fans. Bill (Billy Kidd) was 61 years-old. Bill was a close friend of mine – I will miss him greatly.
