At the end of 2016 Crossville News First published a story listing celebrities who had died during the year. It’s pretty common for most news agencies to do a story at years-end of famous people who died sometime during the preceding year.  We noticed several comments on our Facebook page asking why there wasn’t a story of all the fallen police officers and military personnel who had passed during the year as well.   Since it’s very important to us that we have thousands of officers and soldiers protecting us throughout the years, we researched many sites to find if there was a listing of fallen officers and soldiers during 2016.  We found two sites with such listings.  We publish this in honor of all who have given all in service to their country and communities throughout the USA
