FAIRFIELD GLADE MOTHER ARRESTED FOR WHIPPING 11 YEAR OLD WITH ROPE, STICK

The Crossville Chronicle is reporting a Fairfield Glade woman has been arrested for whipping her 11 year old daughter with a rope and stick.  The woman is identified as 39 year old Renee Brandy Robinson.  She is charged with child abuse, domestic assault and resisting arrest. While responding to a welfare check request on the little girl, officers noticed welts on the child’s arm.  Robinson told officers she disciplined the child ‘because she never listens to her.” Apparently the daughter didn’t wear the right clothes that day to suit her mother.  The child told officers this was a normal thing to be whipped with a jump rope and even a wooden paint stick which would leave welts on the girls body.  Robinson was taken into custody, but not before she became combative, kicking the officer several times.  The mother was placed under $6,000 bond and the Department of Human Services were contacted.   Chronicle full story
