ELVIS’ BIRTHDAY – AND HOW MIGHT HE HAVE LOOKED AT 80?

Graphic1

Today, countless numbers of Elvis fans will descend on Memphis for celebrations, cake-cutting and the unveiling of two new statues of the star, who died at his home in Memphis, Tennessee, in August 1977 at the age of 42. The North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra will perform Elvis music and Friday evening will see a talent contest of Elvis impersonators.

Four decades after his death, the man known to millions simply as the King, continues to inspire devotion and obsession and the ability to trigger no small controversy

Of course there’s no way to know how the King of Rock and Roll would have actually aged, but  thanks to this age-progressed portrait commissioned by Sachs Media we can at least see what Elvis  might look like today.
The project was made possible by Michigan-based group Phojoe using state-of-the-art specialized technology, the same that is used to create the age-progressed photos used in the search for missing persons.
