DRUNK BUS DRIVER TAKING STUDENTS TO GAME IN COOKEVILLE ARRESTED

A charter bus driver was arrested in Putnam County Friday night and charged with DUI after reportedly transporting students from a Nashville high school to the TSSAA game in Cookeville. Authorities say driver Robert Michael Hoskinson,56, failed a sobriety test and smelled like alcohol. Hoskinson was also charged with possession of an open container of alcohol and reckless endangerment of 56 students. Hoskinson was driving one of three buses rented from Wise Coaches of Nashville. After inspecting all three motor coaches, the THP put them out of service. Hoskinson’s bus was detained for the DUI and the other two coaches for defective tires.
