DRUG BUST NETS $16,494 IN CASH, DRUGS NEAR ANTI-DRUG BILLBOARD

On Saturday April 3rd, 2016, Crossville Narcotics Detective’s long term investigation came to an end with the execution of a search warrant and the seizure of $16,494.00 in cash and a vehicle in Crossville, TN.   Following an in-depth investigation and undercover operations, this action is the latest example of the Crossville Police Department’s resolve to eliminate illegal narcotics in our community.unnamed (29)

 

With this most recent effort, Illegal Drugs, money and a vehicle were seized during the search warrant service. Two females, who traveled to Crossville from the Detroit, MI area for the sole purpose of trafficking narcotics, were the target of the operation. In addition to a felony narcotics arrest, all additional charges are pending the outcome of the completed investigation and their presentation to the Cumberland County Grand Jury.

 

Participating in the operation were the Crossville Police Department, 13th Judicial Drug Task Force, the Office of the District Attorney General and the HIDTA / TBI Drug Task Force. A special thank you goes out to all agencies involved in the completion of this dangerous task.

 

The traffic stop and subsequent arrest occurred less than 1/8 of a mile from our newest Anti-Drug Campaign billboard, pictured below, which was installed less than 2 days before the stop.
