The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle accident just after 6 a.m. central Thursday morning involving a school bus in Cumberland County.

Authorities responded to the scene on Highway 70 East near the Westel Fire Hall after a pickup truck reportedly rear-ended the school bus.

No children were injured in the crash.

The conditions of the bus driver and the driver in the vehicle were not initially released.

The driver of the truck had to be extricated from the wreckage and taken to the hospital.

A full report of the accident will be released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol at a later time.
