CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN ARRESTED FOR STANDING IN MIDDLE OF ROAD DOING THIS

On May 28, 2024 a Cumberland County Deputy was dispatched to a rescue scene on Highway 70 East at Ozone Falls Park in reference to a disorderly male disrupting the rescue operations. When the Deputy arrived he made contact with 44 year-old Christopher Cain Monday. While speaking to him the Deputy detected the odor of alcohol and observed Christopher to have red watery eyes and to be unbalanced on his feet.

The Deputy then spoke to emergency workers who stated that Christopher was in the road getting irate about rescue units blocking the road and began yelling at rescue personnel and threatening them. Due to Christopher being a danger to himself and the general public in an intoxicated state, the Deputy placed Christopher under arrest for Public intoxication and disorderly conduct for disrupting the rescue operations and then transported him to the Cumberland County Jail.
