CUMBERLAND CO CARBON MONOXIDE DEATH VICTIM IDENTIFIED
According to Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox, the elderly man found dead in his home this week who died of carbon monoxide poisoning has been identified as 83 year old Francis Stoker. Deputies were doing a welfare check on Mr. Stoker’s home on Highway 70 East Monday night when they made the discovery. Cumberland County Fire Department equipment indicated high levels of carbon monoxide inside the house where a generator was running. Sheriff Cox advises everyone to check on those who have no power still and especially the elderly and ones on medication.
