Cumberland County Assessor of Property Lori Lowe Powell has passed away after battling cancer.  Ms. Powell was recently elected to the Assessor’s Office last August.  She had worked in the Assessor’s office for 13 years prior to being elected to the office as Assessor. The Cumberland County Commission will appoint an interim until the 2022 elections.  Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
