CROSSVILLE WOMAN’S TIRES SLASHED AT DOLLAR GENERAL MARKET
On 8-20–2022 Crossville Police responded to Dollar General Market on Miller Ave. in reference to a vandalism. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the victim. She stated she had parked her vehicle at work, and returned to find the two driver side tires flat. She stated she suspected her soon to be ex spouse to be the culprit. There was no witnesses, and the camera surveillance was not accessible at the time of the report.
On 8-21–2022 an officer reviewed video surveillance of the incident from Dollar General Market who observed a subject enter the parking lot, go to the victims car, kneel down out of camera view, and then run back towards Miller Ave out of camera view. The subject could not be identified from video but the officer could see they were wearing a dark colored hoodie with a logo.
On 8-21-2022 the officer made contact with the suspect in the parking lot between Shoney’s and Circle K. He denied all involvement, and the officer was unable to develop probable cause to charge him with the vandalism.
