CROSSVILLE WALGREENS EMPLOYEE STEALS 120 OXYCODONE PILLS FROM PHARMACY
On July 12, 2023 a City officer responded to Walgreens for a theft report. The caller was the manager who stated that an employee had been stealing medication from the pharmacy. Upon arrival the officer made contact with a female outside the store who stated that she was going to take him to the back to speak with the manager. The officer spoke to the manager who stated that an employee had stolen some medication on July 8, 2023. The officer asked him where the employee was and he pointed to the female that had walked him back to the office.
The female was identified as 26 year-old Felica Anderson. The officer advised Ms. Anderson of her rights and she stated that she understood and didn’t need her rights read to her. The officer then asked her what happened and she stated that she had stolen one-hundred and twenty (120) Oxycodone 10mg pills from the pharmacy. The officer asked her why she took the pills and she stated that she had intended to sell the pills but ended up giving them to a family member; however, she would not give the name of the family member the pills were given to. The manager stated that the total value of the pills that were stolen was $146.40. The officer issued Ms. Anderson a citation for theft and was given a General Session court date in mid August.
